What I can offer - training in counselling skills, interpersonal skills and team building for staff groups - individual counselling, face to face or online to help clients (your employees) manage their professional and personal circumstances more effectively - work with organisations to provide counselling support for groups of staff - training workshops to complement those provided by the organisation and effectively meet the needs of you and your staff - consultation and review of your counselling services Experience I have been counselling full time for over 17 years. I have most experience in educational settings having worked as a counsellor in the Further, Higher and University sectors where I have held posts as Lecturer in Counselling, Senior Counsellor and Head of Counselling. I have worked as a consultant to Counselling and Student Services in the sector. Additionally I have experience in the voluntary and commercial sectors and in primary care. I have first hand experience of organisational dynamics and stresses particularly in relation to change. My communication skills enable me to work with staff from all levels in a wide variety of settings. I have served as an assessor on the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy's Accreditation Scheme and presently function as an assessor on the Association for University and College Counsellors Service Recognition Scheme plus sit on their Research Committee. Training I am a Senior Registered Practitioner with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy working to their code of ethics and practice. I hold a Diploma in Counselling and Guidance from the University of Reading and have undertaken considerable Psychotherapy training with the Gestalt Psychotherapy Training Institute. I undertook Supervision Training at the Gestalt Centre, London. Recently I have trained in online counselling and now tutor in this new and growing area of therapeutic support. |
