My experience

I have been a counsellor for over 20 years mostly in Higher and Further Education.  After completing a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling at Reading University I undertook considerable gestalt psychotherapy training with the Gestalt Psychotherapy Training Institute.  Now I work for myself with various Employee Assistance Programmes; primary care clients; private clients; and am a tutor for Online Counselling Ltd., a company which offers training to counsellors in online skills.   I am a Senior Registered Practitioner with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy I subscribe to their Code of Ethics and Practice which can be viewed on their website www.bacp.com   Since 2002 I have been a registered independent practitioner based in South Wales.  Additionally I train and supervise counsellors.

How I work

I am a Humanistic Counsellor integrating the many aspects of my training into my personal way of relating to clients. I believe relationship to be at the heart of counselling, therapy and healing. Depending on the issues the client wants to explore, the work can take up to eight weeks or many months.  I offer brief work for specific issues. My scale of fees is available on request.  I have a clinic base in Walter Road, central Swansea and sometimes work from my home to the north of Swansea.
