Training and consultancy work for organisations in the commercial, statutory and voluntary sectors A whole range of therapeutic and developmental resources, both to individuals and to groups Mentoring and coaching, both to individuals and to staff teams My organisational work often examines and evaluates the ways in which the organisations themselves function, or the ways in which they may be relating to their customers or to other clientele, groups or organisations. My experience I have worked for organisations in various settings, including the voluntary, statutory and commercial sectors. I have held various posts, including management positions, in education and social work, and have trained social workers and counsellors. I have gone into numerous industrial and commercial organisations to assist with specific projects, both under the auspices of my own consultancy practice, and on behalf of employee assistance programme providers and other consultancy organisations. I have worked in various capacities in response to major incidents, including the Manchester Bombing in 1996 and the Paddington Rail Crash in 1999. In particular, I have developed a facility for engaging with those situations - often of a forensic nature - requiring sensitivity, diplomacy and the utmost discretion. Amongst the many committee posts I have occupied, I have served as Co-chair to the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy's Counsellor Accreditation Scheme, and have appraised various organisations on behalf of the United Kingdom Register of Counsellors. As well as public speaking engagements and radio interviews, I have also undertaken international assignments. My credentials I am a Fellow of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, and have been one of its Accredited Counsellors since 1985, as well as having been registered as a Registered Independent Counsellor with the United Kingdom Register of Counsellors since the Register's inception in 1996. In addition to holding a Master's degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy, I am currently pursuing research for a Professional Doctorate in Counselling from the University of Manchester.
