What I can offer:
I work both face to face and online with clients, offering short
term contracts of 4 to 8 sessions, or longer term, open ended
contracts if individuals decide that is more suitable for them.
For counselling to be effective, it is important that the client
wishes to engage in finding ways of managing a particular issue,
or a solution to a problem. My work is to be alongside the client
and help them to discover how they wish to do this, rather than
in telling individuals what they should do. When I begin work
with a client, we set up a contract together, which contains practical
details, and some information about the Ethical Framework to which
governs my work.
For me, the relationship that is built up with clients forms the basis
of our work together, and within that relationship I try to match
the strategies we use to meet the needs of the individual client and
their particular issue.
I work with a wide range of issues, including relationships, career
and personal development, work related matters, stress, anxiety
and other specific issues.
